Welcome to our 2024-2025 FREE Children’s Music Program Season!
Fallbrook Music Society is proud to announce that we have entered into a new partnership agreement with Friends of the Fallbrook Library and the Fallbrook Branch of the Library to fund three new, interactive family-oriented music programs at the Library. Together we believe we can inspire the next generation of orchestral musicians and music lovers, and maybe, just maybe – uncover the next Mozart!
In 2024, we bring all of our youth music education into the Fallbrook Branch of the San Diego Library System, providing children and their families with unique access to this great community resource. We are so excited to share an exciting year of new music programs and new ways for children to connect to music! All at the Fallbrook Public Library!
Toddler and Me Program:
This class is all about Play! Each weekly 30-minute session is a unique, play-based music class for toddlers ages 2-5 and their caregivers. This is a perfect introduction into music and movement for our little ones, and includes tons of singing, dancing, and rhythm play – small and large-movement activities and instrument play. During a time where tv/screen time is unavoidable, this class is a breath of fresh air, interaction and engagement.
Oh yes – and it’s tons of fun!

Drop-In Music Program:
Live musical experiences and hands-on opportunities have the power to shape young minds. Our weekly drop-in music classes for children ages 7-12 are bite-sized musical journeys, perfect for beginning music students. The program includes interactive discussions of a variety of instruments, how they function, make sounds, the type of music the students are experiencing, and how the music gets from the music sheets to the instruments. Students will have hands-on experiences with a variety of instruments such as keyboard, flute, guitar and percussion – and perhaps a few surprises along the way.
At this age, music is not a lesson. It’s an Experience!

World Music Program:
Talented musicians/teachers present a broad range of soloist and ensembles who present music from a variety of countries and traditions in a performance-based setting for children of all ages. Each performance is a journey through sound, culture and history, as the musicians engage audiences with background stories about the cultural significance of the music, the origin of the instruments, and the history behind the pieces they perform. The interactive nature of these concerts allows the entire audience to not only enjoy the music, but also connect with the musicians on a deeper level. After the performances, a short Q&A session gives attendees the opportunity to ask questions, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of different cultures.
It’s interactive. It’s Educational. And it’s Entertaining!
