EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY
Bringing the Joy of Music to Every Corner of the Community!
This past season, something truly special was taking shape.
In classrooms at the Fallbrook Library, children experienced the joy of music—many for the very first time. Eyes lit up, hands found their rhythm, and a sense of wonder filled the room. Through our series of free music education and outreach programs, families and children discovered not just music, but connection, creativity, and confidence.
In partnership with the Fallbrook Library and Friends of the Fallbrook Library, these programs are opening doors—welcoming every child, regardless of background, into a world where they can explore, express, and belong.
One of those doors opened for eight-year-old Valen. Sitting at an orange, plastic portable keyboard in the Community Room, Valen took his very first piano class. What began as a simple introduction to music quickly revealed something extraordinary. Drawn to classical music and learning at a pace far beyond his years, Valen is already showing signs of remarkable talent.
Today, he studies with Connie Kleppe, President of Fallbrook Music Society, and dreams of one day performing on a grand piano before a live audience. We look forward to the day we can introduce Valen to our patrons and share the magic of his music – an inspiring reminder of what can happen when a child is given the chance to begin.
Because music does more than entertain—it nurtures emotional well-being, supports early learning, and creates a shared language that brings people together. We are proud to help plant these seeds, knowing they will grow into a lifelong love of music.
Supporting Young Students, Investing in the Future
That same spirit of possibility continues with our expanding music education and performance scholarship program.
This year, we were honored to award scholarships to three exceptional graduating seniors from Fallbrook High School—young musicians whose dedication and passion have already begun to shape their futures. Behind each award is a story of perseverance, creativity, and love for music.
These scholarships are more than financial support—they are a vote of confidence, an encouragement to keep going, and a reminder that their talents matter.
Made possible through the generosity of our donors, this program reflects a shared belief: that investing in young artists today helps ensure a vibrant, musical tomorrow.
Jump Into Joy at Arts in the Park
Each spring, we look forward to one of our most joyful traditions—gathering at Live Oak Park for Arts in the Park, a vibrant celebration where families and children come together to explore, create, and play.
Surrounded by sunshine and community spirit, the park comes alive with music and arts activities. With the guidance of our dedicated teachers and board members, children are invited to step into a hands-on musical experience—strumming ukuleles, joining lively drum circles, exploring keyboards, and expressing themselves through singing and movement.
It’s more than an event—it’s a place where curiosity is sparked, confidence begins to grow, and music becomes something personal. We are proud to be part of this special day each year, sharing the magic of music with our community.
This event is free, open to everyone, and Fallbrook Music Society is pleased to participate with Rally for Children in this enriching day of art, creativity and culture for Fallbrook, Bonsall and our surrounding communities.
